Weekend Partys-Save Stretch

Hey gang, I’ve got terrible news… Spike has CAPTURED Stretch! Spike has decided to start picking off the Webosaurs one-by-one!!! I always thought Spike’s giant ego would keep him attempting to attack everyone at once, but his new strategy is to capture everyone while they are alone so that they are more vulnerable, poor Stretch was his first victim! Spike has announced that he is going to attack once every two hours beginning between 17:00 – 21:00 WST on Friday, continuing the onslaught on Saturday between 9:00 – 16:00 WST and on Sunday between 8:00 – 12:00 WST!!!
We’ve got to beat Okvango back, banish Spike and rescue Stretch. I plan on seeing everyone on the Island around 13:00 WST to welcome Stretch back from captivity! Whichever FIVE dinos make it onto the Monster Board the most times over the weekend will receive this limited edition Dead Stretch Cave Item! See you there!

Weekend Action – Spike Attacks Again!
Defend the Geyser!Hey gang, a special report from one of our Webosaurs Spies – Spike will be attacking the Gushing Geyser all weekend!! I’m not sure how the Spies got the info., you’ll have to ask them, but they were the first to break the news that Spike will be in the Gushing Geyser attacking tomorrow, Friday October 7th around 17:15 WST and again on Saturday at 11:00 WST.
The Webosaurs Spies is a new group that has been forming on the Island in an effort to track Spike and keep an eye on him. I’m not sure who they are exactly, they’re very mysterious, but I do know that they have teamed up with Linus and have sworn an oath to defeat Spike. Will you join the Spies? Will you get the intel on Spike? Keep an eye on Spike this weekend and report any sightings or activities to a Moderator and you could have your name on the homepage in the News Section! Get ready to stand strong and don’t let Spike and Okvango destroy the Geyser!!

Today while I went on the Webosaurs Blog I saw a new blog post by … SPIKE!.that’s right Spike.Somehow he hacked the webosaurs blog and posted.Here’s what he said
It’s my time now!
That’s right WEBOSAURS, I’ve broken into the blog and am currently ALONE on the Island. In just a few short hours your precious Webosaurs Island will be changed FOREVER. As you’ll soon see, my loyal creature Okvango is about to escape and his first order of business is going to be to destroy your silly Gushing Geyser, that geyser will never flow again as long as I am in charge!
*Yawn* This take-over thing has been so much easier than I thought! You little Webosaurs aren’t even going to try to protect your Island? Go ahead I dare you – try to challenge us, even all of you together are no match for Okvango and me!
As for you – Stretch, Pterry, Horns and Rexxy – I’ll be waiting in the newly remodeled Gushing Geyser at 17:00 WST this Friday for you to come and surrender. See you then!

Hey everyone! This weekends parties will be so awesome because my favorite Webosaur will be hosting not one but TWO parties! Thats right! HORNS! HORNS! HORNS! Will be out of the secret room to play some totally bluggin games of Eye Spy with you! To play the game, first Horns will say, “I Spy with my bluggin eye somethingBLANK” All you have to do is look for anything on your screen that fits what Horns says he sees. It could be anything like something in the landscape or someone’s armor or anything that can be seen. First person to get the correct answer wins! You only can win once.

Ok, so its pretty gross but its really neat looking at the same time. It will be the perfect addition to anyone’s cave decor. The party starts off at the Gushing Geyser and could move throughout the island. It all depends on how great you all are at the game.

Psssssst Horns, where have you been hiding?
Weekend Party Time… Things have been quiet on the Island for the last couple of months, but something fishy is going on. Where have the Webosaurs been? I bumped into Horns racing around the Island earlier today and he mentioned something about a “special message” to deliver to Team Webo?? I have NO idea what he’s talking about, but he did tell me that he’ll be delivering his message in the Carnivorous Cavern at 10:00 am WST, that is IF you-know-who is not there!
Friday we’re going to drop another fresh Egg Hunt at 17:00 WST with a great and watery item, but you’d better do it fast, this Egg Hunt will only be around this weekend! Moon will be hanging out with me and available to answer questions on Friday, it’s not going to be easy I can promise you that, but the item will be worth it, I promise that too! See you on the Island!

Nooooooooooooo!!! He’s BACKUh ohhhh this is going to be an interesting weekend! I’ve heard some very interesting rumors that you-know-who has been lurking around the Island… Keep an eye out for him this week, but before we get into that whole mess, we’ve got some other business to attend to!
This Friday at 17:00 WST Moon will be waiting for dinos in the Jurassic Fort in Webo Ridge. When she’s ready she will release to the Webosaurs Blog our latest and greatest contest. I’m keeping quiet on the details of this contest, but the due date for all entries is MIDNIGHT on Monday Night. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be at the party on Friday to enter the contest, but you will be racing against the clock to finish the contest ahead of everyone else. There will be only one winner (except in the event of a tie) and that winner will receive the soon to be SUPER-rare item: Mechanical Dino

Sunday is going to be a very different kind of day… I sense a dark gloom being cast over Webosaurs Island. I always get a bad feeling when a certain someone is lurking around… Anyway, for better or worse SPIKE will be coming back to Webosaurs Island this Sunday at 14:00 WST. As usual, I’m not sure what he wants… It’s been so long since we’ve seen him, maybe he’s changed his tune and is in the mood for a friendly visit? Who knows, one thing’s for sure, I won’t be anywhere near Webosaurs Island when that guy is around. He smells kind of bad, doesn’t he? If you MUST see Spike make sure you go to Sub-Alpine Forest at 14:00 WST!

On friday we are gonna have a Comedy Night.We haven’t had one in some time now.We are having jokes on school or summer.Also if the judges (mods) don’t like the jokes will throw a banana at you.

Hey dinos, weekend party time! Mio promised an Egg Hunt last weekend and that it never came!He’s truly sorry, the fault was all his! Mio had a freak eye injury and was unable to deliver the hunt on Friday OR on Sunday. To make up for it we are going to have TWO great hunts this weekend! I don’t think anything will be able to stop him from creating these hunts this time around. One will be dropped on Friday the 13th at 16:00 WST. If you can make it through this hunt you will end up in the Lizard Lounge for an epic Friday the 13th Party. Devo and Mio will be there handing out coin codes for spooky stories and Friday the 13th tales. Expect to earn some coin codes and to be scared into a Pterry and if you’re already a Pterry… WATCH OUT!
On Sunday we are going to drop a second hunt of the weekend. Hopefully, we’ll all make it through Friday the 13th okay and be able to finish this second hunt because the item is… well… HILARIOUS. Once you’ve completed the Egg Hunt come to The Giant Umbrella at 14:00 WST for a rocking feast. New mods Nano and Eclipse will be in the house serving up some tasty dishes and dishing on their likes, dislikes and favorite things to do on the Island. Not to toot my own horn, but unless something else crazy happens MIO will finally be back on the Island for good hangouts! I’m looking forward to it!

Weekly enviromental fact
Last week Dukster asked the question, “What is the most endangered animal on Earth?” While that is a very difficult question to answer, there are so many extremely endangered animals of all different types on Earth that it is almost impossible to say which one is FOR SURE the MOST endangered of them all. However, it is not hard to pick the most endangered in a particular category.
Today’s category is Antelope and the most endangered is definitely the Hirola. The Hirola is the only species in the genus Beatragus and it lives in grassy plains in Eastern Africa on the border of Kenya and Somalia. They are nicknamed the “four-eyed antelope” because they have large preorbital glands underneath their eyes that resemble another set of eyes and NOT because they need glasses! HA Ha ha! They generally run in herds of up to 40 females and only one dominant male, then the other lesser, younger males all hang out together. Their spiraling horns make them look incredibly majestic and when the males fight one another they drop to all fours and use their horns like swords.
Sadly, the Hirola is definitely the most endangered antelope. Their habitat has shrunken incredibly due to more and more cattle coming into the region and a major drought that has lasted in the region for many years. There are currently roughly 700 Hirola in the wild and none in captivity. A study was conducted recently and it was determined that only 3 large groups of Hirola remain in their natural range. The Hirola is another example of a species that is constantly losing ground to humans as we expand and require more and more land. The only chance for the Hirola is for us as humans to become more conscious of the animals we are endangering and respect their habitat as much as we do our own! What do you think about the Hirola?
